15th Berlin International Film Festival
The International Film Festival Berlin 1965 took place until July 6, 1965 by June 25th.
For the first time the so-called information show took place this year. It was shown in films that already ran at other festivals. From this information, show the Panorama section later developed. Before the general election in 1965 the policy took effect on the Berlinale. So the French omnibus film Paris Stories was on consideration of the election campaign between Ludwig Erhard and Willy Brandt, who was at this time Mayor of Berlin, censored. In one scene, the eyes of Konrad Adenauer be gouged in a photo. This scene was taken from the film. The film was shown in the information show.

The Briton John Gillett this year was jury president following jury: Ely Azeredo (Brazil), Monique Berger (France), Jerry Bresler (USA ), Alexander Kluge ( Germany ), Kyushiro Kusakabe (Japan), Karena Niehoff ( Germany ) Hans Jürgen Pohland ( Germany ) and Hans -Dieter Roos ( Germany ).
