1919 Atlantic hurricane season

The 1919 hurricane season officially began on June 1, 1919 and lasted until 30 November 1919. These data limits for the amount of time each year, usually from when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin.

The season of 1919 was a below-average season. There were only three tropical cyclones and only one was a hurricane. The first storm of the season was a tropical storm that struck in Pensacola (Florida ), Florida, and only $ 25,000 of damage wreaked. Another tropical storm grazed Bermuda in mid-November. The most notable storm of the season, however, was the hurricane Florida Keys. The storm killed 600 people and moved directly over Key West as a Category 4 Most of the people killed at sea. The storm moved over the majority of the shipping lanes of the Gulf of Mexico as a tough Category 4 storm before it south of Corpus Christi, Texas came ashore as a Category 1.
