1950 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

The 12th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships were held from 14th - 16th July 1950 in Basel. After 12 - year break, it was the first world championships after the Second World War.

For the men in the all around was won by Swiss Walter Lehmann ahead of his compatriot Marcel Adatte and the Finns Olavi Rove. As a successful team also emerged Switzerland.

In the women's Pole Helena Rakoczy won the world title, the best team was Sweden.
