1952 Campeonato Profesional

The Categoría Primera A 1952 was the fifth staging of the Colombian football championship. The championship was the top team Millonarios de Cali defend against Boca Juniors and won the title for the third time. Scorer was Alfredo di Stéfano again the Argentine Millonarios with 19 goals.

The number of participants decreased from 18 to 15 teams. 1951, the crisis of many teams that either temporarily or completely expose disappeared. Huracán and Independiente Medellín no longer participated. Independiente Medellín came back in 1954, Huracán disappeared completely. Deportes Caldas and Once Deportivo Deportivo joined together in Manizales, a new parent club Once Caldas.
