1966–67 French Rugby Union Championship
The season 1966/67, was the 68th staging of the French rugby union championship. They included 56 teams in the top league ( of today's top 14).
The championship was divided into two phases. It began with the group phase in which eight teams played in seven groups against each other. The top four in each group and the four best fifth place moved into the K - o.Runde. This was followed by sixteenth, eighth, quarter and semi-finals. In the final, held in Bordeaux on 28 May 1967 at the Parc Lescure, clashed the two semi-final winners and played for the Bouclier de Brennus. Here, the U.S. Montauban won against the CA Begles and won the only previous championship in club history.
