1968–69 French Rugby Union Championship
The 1968/69 season was the 70th staging of the French rugby union championship. It included 64 teams in the top league ( of today's top 14).
The championship was divided into two phases. It began with the group phase in which eight teams played in eight groups against each other. The four winners of each group moved into the K - o.Runde. This was followed by sixteenth, eighth, quarter and semi-finals. In the final game, which was held in Lyon on 18 May 1969 at the Stade Gerland, clashed the two semi-final winners and played for the Bouclier de Brennus. Here, the CA Begles vs Stade Toulousain prevailed and won for the first time the championship.
