1991–92 Austrian Hockey League season
The Austrian Hockey League in 1991/92 was held with seven clubs. Champion for the second time in club history the EC VSV, who won in the final against the EC Graz.

Participants and mode
The field remained almost unchanged in comparison to the previous season. With the National League Champion EK Zell am See, however, was added a seventh club. New, however, was the shortened championship. In the 1991/92 season for the first time cross-country competition in the Alps league was played out in the Austrian Bundesliga in addition to the seven also clubs from Italy and Slovenia took part. This competition was played before the national championships, so the Austrian Hockey League began only in December. According to the rankings in the Alps League but bonus points were given: EC VSV, EV Innsbruck, EC KAC and Vienna EV started with four, three, two and one bonus point in the championship. In the regular season, the teams played against each other four times each. The top four teams were qualified for the playoffs, which were used as the semi-finals and finals respectively in a best of three series.
