1994 UEFA European Under-21 Championship

The 12 U -21 Football Championship was won back from Italy. It was the second victory for the Italians. Germany failed to qualify. For the first time a final was held. Was hosted by France. It was played from 15 to 20 April 1994. Portugal's Luís Figo was awarded the Golden Player of the Tournament.

Mode

All registered teams were divided into eight groups. The group winners will be determined in the return game, the four participants in the inaugural tournament. The semi-final winners determined in the final of the European Champions, while the semifinal losers play for third place.
