1999 Hopman Cup
The Hopman Cup 1999 was the 11th edition of the tennis tournament in Perth, Australia. He was held from 2 to 9 January 1999.
The last participant was played between France and Zimbabwe. In this play-off to France prevailed 2-1. The replacement Team Zimbabwe still came but to use one, as the team Spain could not participate in their last group match against South Africa. South Africa won this African duel 2-1.
In the final, the unseeded team won in the person of Mark Philippoussis and Jelena Dokić from Australia 2-1 against the unseeded team Åsa Carlsson and Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden
