2001–02 Celtic League
The 2001 season was the first edition of the Celtic League, of Irish, Welsh and Scottish rugby teams together -wide championship. It began on 17 August and included 15 teams. These were divided into a roller and a Siebner group, after which each team once ran against the other. After seven or six games each group, the four best met each other in a knockout round. The finale on 15 December 2001 decided Leinster Rugby for themselves.
