2003–04 Bundesliga (women)

The Bundesliga 2003/ 04 was the 14th season of football league for women. For the first time the first FFC Turbine Potsdam total German masters.

The "Finale "

The Championship decided as in the previous year only on the final day. On 13 June 2004, the reigning champion clashed 1st FFC Frankfurt and the top ranked 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam. With a victory Frankfurt could have won the championship in a row for the fourth time, but the local audience the Frankfurt succeeded nothing, so the 4,800 spectators at the end of a 7-2 victory for the visitors from Potsdam and thus the transfer of the Championship Cup at the guests had to experience.

Best scorer of the season was Kerstin Garefrekes FFC Heike Rheine from with 26 goals, being able to achieve three goals in three games. Overall, fell 560 gates, 45 more than the previous season. The goals average was 4.24 goals per game.

The average attendance increased by more than 50% compared to the previous season. With an average of 532 paying spectators per game, however, the popularity still remains low. Above all, the Bayern Munich and 1 FC Saarbrücken played consistently received very little audience. A total of 70 161 spectators watched the games.

Others

The Bundesliga season was between the 3rd Round (August 31 ) and the 4th Round (October 19 ) is interrupted due to the World Cup. During this time a World Cup bridging tournament was held which has decided to Bayern Munich for themselves.
