2009 Women's World Open Squash Championship

The 25 Squash World Cup of women took place from 20 to 27 September 2009 in Amsterdam, Netherlands instead. The world championship was the most lucrative tournament of the season, the ESC World Tour.

Defending champion Nicol David was, who won the title again this year. She beat Natalie Grinham in the final game with 3:11, 11:6, 11:3 and 11:8, becoming the fourth time world champion.

The field consisted of 32 players, eight grid positions for qualifiers. Per Wildcard Orla Noom was given a starting place in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

When the squash World Cup Women 2009, the following ranking points were credited for each round is reached. Players who entered from qualifying into the main draw, the qualifying points were given in addition to those for the respective round is reached. Otherwise, the amounts are not cumulative. The total prize money amounted to 118,000 U.S. dollars.
