2010 Caribbean Cup

The Digicel Caribbean Cup 2010 was the 15th playout of the Caribbean Football Championship. The competition began with the first round of qualifying on October 3, 2010. The final round was held from November 26 to December 5, 2010 in Martinique instead. The matches were played at the Stade Pierre Aliker ( Stade d'Honneur de Dillon ) in Fort- de -France and the Stade De Camée in Riviere Pilote. Title sponsor of the tournament was the telecommunications company Digicel, based in Jamaica.

The four best teams in this tournament qualified for the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011. Besides the winner Jamaica, these were Guadeloupe, Cuba and Grenada.

Qualification

A total of 24 teams had registered for the competition. Defending champion and host Jamaica Martinique were set without qualifying for the finals. All were members of the Caribbean Football Union, a regional subsidiary of the CONCACAF.

The national teams of the American Virgin Islands, as, the Bahamas, Bermuda, French Guiana, Sint Maarten and the Turks and Caicos Islands did not participate in the tournament.

Aruba withdrew shortly before the qualifiers, so that ultimately 15 teams competed in the first and six in the second round of qualifying.

First round

The first round of qualifying consisted of four groups. The group winners and the two best runners-up from the three groups of four will qualify for the second round.

Group A

All matches were played at the Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.

Group B

All games were held in Victoria Park in Kingstown on St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Group C

All games in the André- Kamperveen Stadium in Paramaribo in Suriname.

Group D

All games were played at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristobal in the Dominican Republic.

2nd round

The national teams of Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba and Antigua and Barbuda were already set for the second round. The group winners and runners- up qualify for the finals.

Group E

All games were played in the Grenada National Stadium in St. George's in Grenada.

Group F

All games took place in Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Maran Ella (San Fernando ) in Trinidad and Tobago.

Group G

All games were held in Antigua Recreation Ground in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda.

Finals

It was played in two groups of four teams. The top two teams in each group qualified for the semi-finals and the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011.

Group H

All games were held in Fort- de -France at the Stade Pierre Aliker ( Stade d'Honneur de Dillon ).

Group I

All games were held in Rivière -Pilote at the Stade De Camée.
