2010 Giro d'Italia Femminile

The 21st Giro d'Italia Femminile was held to 11 July 2010 of 2 July. He led more than 1,100 km in 10 stages plus the prologue about 3 km. After four stage wins of Ina- Yoko Teutenberg ( Muggia Trieste, 58 km, Caerano S. Marco Biadene about 16.9 km, Ficarolo - Lendinara about 90 km) followed by two wins by Marianne Vos ( Orta S. Giulio Pettenasco than 122 km, Gallarate - Arcisate 116 km). The 7th stage from Como to Albese Con Cassano over 110.8 km Evelyn Stevens won. The 8th stage resulted from Chiavenna above St. Moritz on the Bernina Pass 2328 meters above sea level to Livigno the stage destination ( winner Mara Abbott). The highlight of the summit finish on the Stelvio on the ninth stage, which led the field to over 2700m above sea level ( winner Mara Abbott again ). The final stage with the start at the Autodromo of Monza Monza 115 Km won the American Shelly Evans.

The overall competition was won by the American Mara Abbott before Judith Arndt and Tatiana Guderzo. The mountains classification was won by Emma Pooley before Mara Abbot and Tatiana Guderzo. The points classification and the jersey of best young rider won Marianne Vos.
