Alexander's
- Summer: Tactical success of the Persians in the Alexander campaign: the resolution of the Greek fleet to use them to a foray into the Aegean Sea, in which they occupy Chios and Lesbos. These conquests go but lost again in August after the death of standing in Persian services commander Memnon.
- Alexander the Great Antigonus is a regent of Gordion and pulls himself with the army of the Taurus Mountains. Taking Cilicia and its capital Tarsus, where Alexander remains to October.
- November - Alexander the Great conquers in the battle of Issus over the Persian king Darius III. (Mnemonic: "three three three, at Issus brawl ' !")
- After the Battle of Issus, the troops of Alexander sat after the fleeing Persians; Damascus is taken where you captured huge riches. The mother, the wife and children of Darius got here in Macedonian captivity.
- Founding of Alexandria (also: Alexandretta, and today İskenderun ) as the first Hellenistic cities founded in Asia.
