The A846 is a road in Scotland. It runs over the two Hebridean islands of Islay and Jura and forms the main thoroughfare of both islands.

Course

The A846 starts at Ardbeg on the south coast Islay. It follows the coast west to Port Ellen. From there it runs north near the coast of Laggan Bay and Loch Indaal to Bowmore. In the northeast it then leads on to Bridgend, where the A847 the second major road Islay, which leads over Port Charlotte to Portnahaven branches. The A846 retains a rough north-easterly direction, eventually reaching about Bally Grant the Ferry Port Askaig. The road continues in Feolin on the opposite shore of Islay Sund on Jura.
