Adam Matuschyk

Adam Matuschyk, Polish Adam Matuszczyk [ adam matuʂt͡ʂɨk ] ( born February 14, 1989 in Gliwice ) is a Polish footballer.

Origin

Matuschyk was born in Upper Silesia, Gliwice, but came to Germany in childhood and grew up in Merzig. He possesses both the German and the Polish citizenship.

Career

Clubs

He began his career in the youth divisions of SpVgg Merzig and VfB Dillingen, for whom he played until 2003. Following the commitment by the 1st FC Cologne he went through the local youth teams through to A- Youth, with whom he 2008, his biggest career successes achieved when the team win the FVM Cup and the West German championship in the A- Youth League West could.

After a half of the season in the U23 team of the club Matuschyk received in early 2009 his first professional contract. February 27, 2010 Matuschyk had his first Bundesliga use in the away game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, where he played once for the whole 90 minutes. Already in his fifth league game on April 10, 2010, he scored both goals in the 2-0 victory over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

On 16 January 2012, the first FC Cologne announced that Matuschyk will be borrowed until end of season Fortuna Dusseldorf. With Fortuna Dusseldorf Adam Matuschyk 2011/12 rose at the end of the season in the Bundesliga, but returned to Köln on 1 July 2012. On November 19, 2012, he extended his contract by two years until 30 June 2015.

National

In 2009, he played for the Polish U -21 and was nominated in May 2010 by the then national coach Franciszek Smuda for three friendlies against Finland, Serbia and Spain.

His first international match he graduated on May 29, 2010 in Kielce during the 0-0 draw against Finland. His first international goal he scored on October 9, 2010 in Chicago in a 2-2 draw in the Test match against the USA the deficit to temporary 1:1.
