Adil Chihi (Arabic: عادل شيحي ) ( born February 21, 1988 in Dusseldorf ) is a Moroccan- German football player.

Clubs

From 1995 to 2000 he played for the Düsseldorf SV 04, before moving to Fortuna Dusseldorf. After the 03/ 04 season Chihi moved from Fortuna Dusseldorf in the youth team of the 1st FC Cologne and has slipped into the professional squad of the team during the summer break of the season 05/ 06. His first goal in the first team he scored on 20 August 2006 at the home game against Wacker Burghausen. Chihi was traded in the Cologne media already in place of Lukas Podolski, but could not build on the success of his model so far. On August 24, 2006, he got the interview ban on his former coach Hanspeter Latour. On 21 November 2006 Chihis contract with FC Cologne 1 was extended by five years.

On 4 November 2010, there were between Cologne coach Schaefer and Chihi a dispute, whereupon Chihi was demoted in the U -23. There was apparently Chihi weeks a desolate performance and was informed on December 10, 2010 by Shepherd that he should look for a new club during the winter break.

But in the second half turned the tide for Adil Chihi, first was the pardon, then even a return to the team and in the starting lineup. Finally, one could agree on a contract extension through the 2010/11 season addition, however.

Since his expiring on June 30, 2014 contract is not renewed, Chihi graduated in January of the same year, a trial with English second division side FC Blackpool, from which, however, no agreement was found. Because they saw no future in the first team due to the partial lack of commitment Chihis, he was deported by head coach Peter Stoeger in the second team of the 1st FC Cologne, where he can train until the contract expires.

National

Chihi was at the U -20 World Cup 2005 in the Netherlands, and came up with Morocco to the semifinals. In this tournament, he scored a goal.

On 28 August 2006, although announced that Chihi want to play for the selections of the DFB in the future, but this decision has been almost two months later, on 23 October 2006, revised.

On 20 August 2008, he played in a friendly against Benin his first senior international for Morocco. In March 2010 Chihi declared its intention to continue to play for the German national team. Meanwhile he came a second time for Morocco to use.
