Kevin Wimmer (born 15 November 1992 Wels ) is an Austrian football player.
Career
Kevin Wimmer began at FC Edt with the club football. As a 10 -year-old discovered by a coach of LASK Linz, he moved to LASK. He came into the football academy Linz. At FC Edt still playing as a striker, Wimmer was in the FAL first midfielder and was eventually converted into a defender. With the Fußallakademie he played 2009/10 in the U-19 Youth League. From 2010 he was a member of the LASK Juniors with whom he won the championship in the Regionalliga Mitte 2010/11. In February 2011, he signed a professional contract and announced on July 29, 2011 his debut in the First Division, the second highest league in Austria. As a result, he was able to establish himself as a regular in the first team. There he came so far as a central defender and left-back used.
Wimmer was 2010 active twice for the U-18 national team and was later appointed for the cadre of U-21 team.
After the season 2011/12 he moved from time royalty -free relegated LASK Linz free transfer to the German second division club FC Cologne 1. LASK Linz, however, received a training compensation of 200,000 euros.
Kevin Wimmer's father Wolfgang Wimmer is currently (2011 /12) Goalkeeper Coach at LASK Linz.
