Matthias Lehmann
Matthias Lehmann ( 2012)
Matthias Lehmann ( born May 28, 1983 in Ulm ) is a German football player who is under contract with FC Cologne 1 since 2012.
It acts as a central defensive midfielder in a kind Abräumerfunktion front of the defense and is characterized by a good duel behavior.
Football career
He began at the age of four years at the Bambini VfL Ulm playing football and went with eight years for SSV Ulm 1846, where he played in the youth teams of the D- youth up to the A- youth.
His second league debut came on 17 March 2001 at the Ulmer game against Rot -Weiß Oberhausen. Lehmann's Bundesliga debut followed on 1 November 2003, after he temporarily moved to TSV 1860 Munich, in the home game against VfL Bochum.
Lehmann graduated with fourteen years, his first international match in the Under-15 national team and was able to achieve two goals in nine games. Later, he played a total of sixteen games for both U16 and for the Under-17 team, where he managed another goal. Furthermore, fourteen games in the U18 national team followed fifteen appearances in the U20 and a hit. With the U -21, he qualified for the finals in 2006.
According kicker he was in the 2004/05 season the best defensive midfielder in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the 1860 Munich he was age 22 the youngest captain in the club's history. But he could not build on the earlier achievements then in the season 2005/ 06. July 19, 2006 Lehmann joined the Bundesliga Alemannia Aachen. There, " Matze " Lehmann developed for service providers and key players in the defensive midfield.
Alemannia Aachen did not renew his expiring with the 2008/ 09 season contract. For the 2009/10 season, Matthias Lehmann to FC St. Pauli and received a two-year contract he prematurely extended in December 2010 to 2013.
On 22 Bundesliga matchday of the 2010/11 season he caused a stir when he and Borussia Mönchengladbach's Igor de Camargo slightly touched with the heads. Lehmann dropped and thus suggested the referee a head butt by de Camargo, who was sent by the referee with red card from the square. In an interview after the game Lehmann said of the scene in question: " De Camargo has touched me, quite clear. Of course, I do not stop. I would be stupid if I did not accept such a gift. "
For the 2011/12 season Lehmann moved to Eintracht Frankfurt and wrote there a three year contract. First, however, he had a regular place under coach Armin Veh, these lost after a few game days.
For the season 2012/13 undertook the first FC Cologne Lehmann. In return, Martin Lanig moved to Frankfurt. In Cologne, he met Holger Stanislawski, who has already coached him at FC St. Pauli.
