Akdeniz (Mersin)

Akdeniz ( German: Mediterranean, literally: white sea ) is one of four districts of the city of Mersin and the same time a district of Mersin Province in southern Turkey. The county was founded in 2008 is located in the east of the province on the Mediterranean. Akdeniz has 276 094 and County 282 139 inhabitants ( 2010). The mayor is Mehmet Fazıl Türk, who is a nephew of the politician Ahmet Turk.
