Toroslar (named after the Taurus Mountains ) is the largest of the four districts of the city of Mersin and the same time a district of Mersin Province in southern Turkey. The district lies to the east of the province and borders the provinces of Konya and Nigde. Toroslar has 250 034 and County 274 982 inhabitants ( 2010). In addition to the city Toroslar there are five other municipalities ( Gözne, Ayvagediği, Güzelyayla, Soğucak and Arslanköy ) and 32 villages.
