Alalay Municipality

The municipality Alalay is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

The municipality Alalay is one of three Municipalities of the province Mizque. It is bordered on the northwest by the province Punata, on the southwest by the province of Esteban Arce, on the south by the municipality of Vila Vila, on the east by the municipality of Mizque, in the northeast province Carrasco, and to the north by the province Arani.

The central location of the municipality is Alalay with 638 inhabitants ( 2001 census ) in the northwestern part of the county.

Geography

The municipality Alalay located in the northwestern part of the Cordillera Oriental, the eastern mountain chain of the Bolivian high mountains.
