AleÅ¡ BrezavÅ¡Äek

Aleš Brezavšček ( born November 30, 1972 in Mojstrana ) is a former Slovenian skier. He started mainly in the disciplines of downhill and Super - G as well as in the combination. He achieved two top 10 finishes in the World Cup and a seventh place in the combination at the Olympic Winter Games 1998.

Career

At the Junior World Championships Brezavšček drove four times into the top ten. His best result was a seventh place in the Super -G in 1991. In 1996, he was Slovenian champion in the Downhill and Super -G. His first points in the World Cup won Brezavšček on 2 December 1995 in 19th place in the Super G Vail. During the next 13 months, he came just one more time in the top 30 until he reached the tenth place in the combination of Chamonix on 12 January 1997. Then he could at several times just to place in the points, so in the top 30, but more top results remained in the World Cup, first, until he, on 12 December 1998 on surprising seventh place in the downhill in Val d'Isere and thus his best World Cup result reached.
