Alexandre Pato

Pato (2010)

Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva ( born September 2, 1989 in Pato Branco, Paraná ), better known by his player name Alexandre Pato or short Pato, is a Brazilian footballer. His player name refers to his birthplace.

Career

In the club

Pato has played with three years in his hometown of Futsal. In 2002, the young people went to Porto Alegre for SC Internacional. His pro debut he graduated at the age of 17 years. 2006 won with Pato Internacional Fifa Club World Cup.

In August 2007, Pato moved to AC Milan. In 2007 he was allowed to participate only in friendly matches of the club because he was not yet 18 years of age at the time of the change. From the 3rd January 2008, he was eligible to play in league matches for AC Milan and scored on his league debut 13 January 2008 against SSC Napoli hit. In the following years, Pato was always thrown back muscle injury. In the seasons 2009/10 and 2010/11 he made 23 games and 12 goals and 25 games and 14 goals, thus contributing to his first championship with Milan. After he had, however, missed a lot of the games due to injuries in the first half of the season, scoring no goals in four league games, he expressed a desire to return to Brazil.

Finally, he moved in January 2013 for 15 million euros to Corinthians. He signed a contract for four seasons and was given the shirt number 7 After one season at Corinthians, he moved to city rivals FC São Paulo.

In the National Team

He helped the Brazilian U -20, U -20 South American Championship in 2007 to win in Paraguay, which the team for the FIFA U -20 World Cup Canada 2007 and the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 qualified. Making its debut in the senior national team of Brazil in a friendly against Sweden on 26 March 2008, he scored the 1-0 winning goal.
