Alexei Pepelyaev

Alexei Gennadjewitsch Pepeljajew (Russian Алексей Геннадьевич Пепеляев; born June 16, 1984 in the Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2008.

Career

Alexei Pepeljajew began his career as a professional hockey player with Metallurg Novokuznetsk, for which he was active in the Russian Super League from 2001 to 2004. Then the defender played for a year for motor Barnaul in the subprime Wysschaja League, before he returned to his former club from Novokuznetsk. Middle of the season 2006/ 07 he moved from there to league rivals Krylia Sovetov Moscow from the Super League. The 2007/08 season he started at HK Lada Togliatti, was in the course of the season but also for the second division Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk HK Mechel on the ice.

In the summer of 2008 Pepeljajew signed with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk from the Wysschaja League, with whom he each second division champion in the next two years and in 2010 also rose in the Continental Hockey League.
