Alexei Vasilevsky (ice hockey)

Alexei Andreyevich Vasilevsky (Russian: Алексей Андреевич Василевский, * January 21, 1993 in Ufa ) is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Toros Neftekamsk plays in the Wysschaja Hockey League since 2012. His father was Andrei and his brother Andrei 's professional ice hockey goaltender.

Career

Alexei Vasilevsky began his career in 2004 in the young field of Salavat Yulaev Ufa and went through all the youth teams. In December 2009 he made his debut for Tolpar Ufa, the junior team of Salavat Yulaev Ufa, in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League ( MHL ) and then became a permanent squad for the MHL team, to whom also played his brother Andrei from 2010.

Since 2012, Vasilevsky plays parallel for Toros Neftekamsk in Wysschaja Hockey League and Tolpar Ufa in the MHL.

Internationally

Alexei Vasilevsky represented his country at youth level at the World U -17 Hockey Challenge in 2010, the World Junior A Challenge in 2011 and at the World Cup, the U18 Junior World Cup 2011, in which he played with his brother Andrei for Russia and the bronze medal won. In the World U -17 Hockey Challenge, 2010, the Russians lost the match for the bronze medal against Sweden and finished the tournament in fourth place.

In 2012 he was until just before the tournament starts in the squad for the U20 World Youth Championship 2013, but was dropped as one of the last players from the extended squad.
