Alfredo Foglino
Alfredo Foglino ( born 1 February 1892 in Montevideo, Uruguay; † July 9, 1968 ) was a Uruguayan football player and coach.
Playing career
Club career
The El primer Mariscal called defender began his career with Colón Fútbol Club, and then played from 1911 until the end of 1925 career at Nacional Montevideo. Also at the big European tour of the club in 1925, he took part. In 1928 he came again in a friendly used. The Bolsos he won a total of nine Uruguayan championship (1912, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1922, 1923 and 1924), was ten years captain of the team and has been used in 409 games.
National
For the national team of Uruguay, he completed his debut on 15 August 1912 until his last mission on July 22, 1923 47 internationals, but where he managed no scoring. During this period he took with Celeste at the Campeonato Sudamericano 1916, 1917, 1919, 1920 and 1921 in part in the tournament. It could each win the title of America Master his team in the years 1916, 1917 and 1920. Also winning the Copa Caridad Sir Thomas Lipton in 1912, and three times the Copa Nicanor R. Newton (1912, 1913 and 1915 ), the Copa Gran Premio de Honor Uruguayan 1918 and the Copa Club Circulo de La Prensa in 1919 are in his personal track record recorded.
A trainer
Between 1915 and 1916, and thus the Campeonato Sudamericano 1916 he was also active in addition to its function as a player as coach of Uruguay.
Others
Later he worked for many years in leading position at Nacional. He died in 1968 in direct temporal proximity to death and Raúl José Nasazzis Judes, all blessed the Temporal within two weeks.
