1921 South American Championship

The Campeonato Sudamericana of 1921 was the fifth playout of the South American continental championship in football and was held from October 2 to October 30 for the second time in Argentina instead. The championship was ( FFA ) held as in the previous league system. Case of a tie for first place, a playoff was provided. All matches were played in Buenos Aires in the stadium Sportivo Barracas. The stadium then took about 35,000 spectators. For Paraguay it was after its accession to the debut CONMEBOL Copa America, while Chile renounced this year to participate.

Hosts Argentina were South American champions in football for the first time.
