Brazil showed once again that it was a bank at home. In the tournaments abroad usually no chance, it was as early as 1919 in their own country in all games unbeaten. Here, the team grew from game to game. After the weary 1-1 draw to kick against Chile the team's performance reached its peak in the 2-0 win over Argentina, with whom she ended the ambitions of the titleholder. However, they were - again, a parallel to 1919 - do not end up alone at the top, but have had to this position, charged with three draws, share with Paraguay and Uruguay, so that the Brazilians had in the decision round. The fact that it came in so far as they had, however, thanks to the referees from their own country, helped the case that the competition had to have three negative points at the end.

Paraguay was the big surprise of this tournament. Even reaching the decision round was a huge triumph for the underdog. The highlight was the 1-0 win over Uruguay, however, came with the benevolent assistance of the Brazilian referee. Before the last game against Argentina, it had the Paraguayans to bring the tournament even in the hand, with a draw or a win. But one still had won against Uruguay with the help of the referee (see below), so it was now another Brazilian referee ( Enrique Vignal ), which favored by many dubious decisions Argentines. The team even left Paraguay in the 79th minute in protest against a dubious penalty for Argentina temporarily the pitch. The duel was lost for Paraguay and you had to in the decision round.

Uruguay was similar to Paraguay to a tragic team this tournament. After victories against arch-rivals Argentina as well as Chile and a 0-0 draw with Brazil the " Urus " enough already a draw against Paraguay on winning the fourth Campeonato Sudamericano title. It was, therefore, from a sporting point of view not the happiest decision to leave the Brazilian referee " Pedro Santos" lead the game; because only a defeat of the Uruguayan could have put the Brazilians into play again. Thus, the Uruguayans were mercilessly squealed and lost 0:1. Thus, Uruguay was tied with Brazil and Paraguay at the top. But Uruguay renounced angry about this referee performance on a decision round and went off prematurely.

Argentina Argentina Américo Miguel Tesoriere (Goalkeeper, CA Boca Juniors), Pedro Castoldi ( Sportivo Barracas ), Adolfo Celli (CA Newell 's Old Boys Rosario ), Ernesto Cellos ( Newell 's Old Boys Rosario ), Alfredo Luis Chabrolín ( Newell 's Old Boys Rosario ), Angel Domingo Chiessa (Club Atlético Huracán ), Marcelo De Césari (CA Boca Juniors), Miguel Della Valle ( Talleres Cordoba ), Julio Francia (CA Tiro Federal ), José Bruno Gaslini ( Alvear Buenos Aires ), Julio Libonatti ( Newell 's Old Boys Rosario ), Angel Secundo Médici (CA Boca Juniors), Rulio Rivet ( Del Plata), Nicolás Rofrano ( Alvear Buenos Aires ), Florencio Sarasíbar ( Tiro Federal Rosario ), Emilio Solari (Nueva Chicago Buenos Aires ). without an official coach

Defending champion Argentina disappointed in this " Copa ". After the glorious 4-0 win to kick against Chile, there were two disappointing defeats against the " Urus " and against Brazil. It was not until the last game against Paraguay was the Argentines make victorious again with gracious help of the referee. But the fourth place could not satisfy safe.

Chile Chile René Balbontín (Goalkeeper, badminton FC Valparaíso ), Guillermo Bernal ( goalkeeper, Jorge Santiago V ), Enrique Abello ( Magallanes Santiago ), Manuel Bravo ( Unión Coquimbo ), Carlos Catalán ( Fábrica de Vidrios Santiago), Aurelio Domínguez ( Artillero Costa de Talcahuano ), Humberto Elgueta (Gold Cross FC Talcahuano ), Luis Encina (Norte América Santiago), Transito González (La Cruz FC Valparaíso ), Ulises Poirier (La Cruz FC Valparaíso ), Manuel Ramírez (Centro de Torneros ), Víctor Varas ( Artillero de Costa Talcahuano ), Pedro Vergara ( Eleuterio Ramírez Santiago), Víctor Zavala (Linares Santiago).
