Allison J35
The General Electric J35 (also Allison J35 ) is a turbojet engine of the U.S. manufacturer General Electric Company The engine 1947 series production and was the first turbojet engine in the U.S., which had both an axial compressor and axial turbine. It was used exclusively for military purposes and was delivered with an afterburner.
The engine was built from the end of 1947 by Allison in series. By the time production ended in 1955 approximately 14,000 of these engines were produced. Besides a series of experimental aircraft such as the Douglas XB- 43 North American B- 45 Convair XB -46, Boeing B- 47 Martin XB -48 and Northrop YB -49 was also in the made in mass Republic F - 84B / C / D / e / G and Northrop F -89 used.
