Alto Paraíso de Goiás is a Brazilian municipality in the northeast of the state of Goiás in the micro-region of Chapada dos Veadeiros. It is 230 km north of the Brazilian capital Brasília and 420 km northeast of the capital, Goiânia.

Alto Paraíso de Goiás to include the localities ( Portuguese: distritos ): Boa Esperança, Capoeira da Velha, Cidade da Fratemidade, Escola Bona Espero, Mato Alto, Moinho and São Jorge.

In the village there is the highest point of the Chapada, the Pouso Alto with 1676 m and the National Park Chapada dos Veadeiros.

Hydrographic location
