History

On June 1, 1965, municipalities Cadenberge, Wingst and Opole closed with a total of 5,789 inhabitants to a Samtgemeinde together. The Samtgemeinde with its administrative seat in Cadenberge was called the " On Dobrock ". The communities Bülkau and Oberndorf joined with effect from 1 January 1970, the Joint municipality. The Samtgemeinde On Dobrock reached its present size, with effect from 1 January 1972, when the spots Neuhaus ( Oste) and the communities Belum and Geversdorf chosen to accede.
