Geography

Location

The community Wingst is around 35 kilometers east of the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea and is just west of the lower reaches of the river Oste. The districts of the municipality are located around the ridge Wingst. They are located northwest of Hemmoor on the B 73 and on the Green Coast road.

In the southwest of the community Wingst is the Balksee.

Churches

  • The Bugenhagen house was named after the Bugenhagen Bible from the year 1533/34. Museums

The Forest Museum presents the flora and fauna of the forest Wingster. Wingst zoo

Traffic
