Amber Valley
Amber Valley is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Derbyshire in England, which is named after the River Amber. Administrative center is the city of Ripley; significant sights are Alfreton, Belper, Codnor, Heanor and Heage.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts Alfreton, Belper and Heanor and Ripley and Belper Rural District.
