Amido Baldé

Amido Baldé (born 16 May 1991 Bissau ) is a Portuguese footballer, who hails from Guinea- Bissau and therefore has both citizenships. He is since 2013 the Scottish club Celtic tradition under contract.

Amido Baldé, who was born in Bissau, the capital of the West African country of Guinea- Bissau, began his career at Sporting Clube de Bissau, which serves as a farm team of Sporting Lisbon. There we played until 2007 before he joined the youth academy of Sporting along with his teammates Zezinho to Portugal. From 2010 to 2012 he stood as a professional cadre of Lisbon, was there but not used, so it was awarded at this time three times, first to CD Santa Clara in the Portuguese Liga Segunda, later for CD Badajoz in Spain and the Belgian club Cercle Brugge.

In summer 2012 he left Sporting and moved to league rivals Vitória Guimarães. With the club from Guimarães he won the Portuguese Cup final in 2013 against Benfica. With nine goals in 27 league games of the Primeira Liga in 2012/13 he was one of the best scorers of his team.

After one season at Vitória Baldé moved to the reigning Scottish champions Celtic FC, in which the striker signed for four years. There he was to compensate for the departure of Gary Hooper, who had moved to Norwich City. After his debut for Celtic in the Champions League game at home in Paradise against FC Cliftonville, which should still remain without a goal for Baldé, he scored on Matchday 8 of the Scottish Premiership 2013/14 against FC Kilmarnock his first goal.
