Andrzej Chyra

Andrzej Chyra ( born August 27, 1964 in Gryfów Slaski ) is a Polish actor.

Life

Andrzej Chyra closed 1987 State Theatre School PWST in Warsaw and started a theater directing course at the same school, which he completed in 1994. His film debut was in 1992. At the theater he first played in the early 1990s at the private stage Teatr Scena Prezentacje in Warsaw. His breakthrough achieved in 1999 with the film The Debt by Krzysztof Krauze, in which he played the blackmailer Gerard. He was recognized for this role on the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia Polish Film and received the price. After this success, he was also bigger roles in theater and since 2001 belongs to the ensemble of the Teatr Rozmaitości in Warsaw. This stage is through the work of directors Warlikowski and Grzegorz Jarzyna the most innovative theaters in Poland. In addition to his stage successes then also followed other objects in the film.

In 2005 it occupied Volker Schlöndorff as Lech Wałęsa in the film adaptation of the life of Anna Walentynowicz, played by Catherine Bach Thal, whose role name is, however, in the film Agnieszka. The film is in February in Poland, in March 2007 in Germany in theaters.
