Anuradhapura District

The district of Anuradhapura ( Sinhala: අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත්රික්කය, Tamil: அனுராதபுரம் மாவட்டம் ) is a district in the north central province of Sri Lanka. It has an area of 7,128 square kilometers and 855 562 inhabitants ( census 2012), of which 91 percent Sinhalese. Is the capital Anuradhapura.

Geography
