Arbieto Municipality

The municipality Arbieto is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

The municipality Arbieto is one of four Municipalities of the province of Esteban Arce. It is bordered on the northwest by the province of Cercado, on the west by the province Capinota, to the south by the municipality of Tarata, on the east by the province of Germán Jordán, and in the north east of the province of Chapare.

The central location of the municipality is Arbieto with 1,347 inhabitants in the eastern part of the municipality. (2001)

Geography

The municipality Arbieto is in the transition zone between the Andes mountain range, the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.
