Arnaldo Pambianco

Arnaldo Pambianco ( born August 16, 1935 in Bertinoro ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Arnaldo Pambianco took part in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, where he finished in seventh place in the road race. A year later he became Italian Road Champion and won the second place at the Road World Amateur Championship.

In 1958 he became a professional, where he was taken in Legnano team under contract, immediately won two road races in Italy and landed on the 27th place in the overall classification of the Giro d' Italia. Pambianco was considered very uniform driver, who was very strong both in the mountains and in the time trial. His greatest achievement was winning the giro d' Italia 1961. At the Giro d' Italia 1960 he finished 7th, 1963 and 1964 13 and 1965 the 19th Place. He won a total of nine wins, including at Milan -Turin in 1960, the Tour of Sardinia in 1962, the 18th stage in the Giro in 1963 and the Fleche Brabançonne 1964. The Road World Championships of professionals, he finished the 1961 22 and 1962 5. place.

The Tour de France, he played four times and came in 1960 to 7 th, 1962 65, 1964 21 and ranked 19th in 1965. From 1963 to 1966 he drove in Salvarini team and played in the last year of his career, the Giro d'Italia, which he finished as 35th overall. At the age of 31, he hung his racing bike after nine years at the Professional solutions on the nail.
