Saronni 1977 pro. The all-rounder with Sprint qualities won between 1979 and 1983 almost all the important cycling race in Italy. He won twice in the Giro d' Italia (1979, 1983), in which he won four times the points classification ( 1979-1981, 1983) and a total of 25 stage wins fetched. 1982 Saronni won the Tour of Lombardy and 1983 Milan-San Remo.
