Loretto Petrucci

Loretto Petrucci ( born August 18, 1929 in Capo Strada di Pistoia ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Loretto Petrucci was a professional racing car driver 1949 until 1960. Biggest success of his career were two victories in Milan - Sanremo, 1952 and 1953. He also won 1951 Giro di Toscana and the GP Massawa Fornati, 1952, he was second in the Tour of Flanders and the Trofeo Baracchi. In 1953, when he won Milan - Sanremo, he also decided the race Paris - Brussels for themselves, took on several major races second and third places - he was Italian vice-champion in the road race - and thus won the annual Appreciation Challenge Desgrange - Colombo. In 1955 he won the Giro del Lazio.
