Urs Zimmermann ( born November 29, 1959 in Mill Village, Canton Solothurn ) is a former Swiss professional cyclists.

Career

Zimmermann began his professional career in 1983 with the Swiss team Cilo Aufina. In just his second year as a pro, he was able to win the Tour de Suisse with a lead of 2:18 minutes on Acácio da Silva. In the following years he was repeatedly stages and throughout the race, as the Dauphiné Libéré win. In 1986, he was Swiss champion in the road race. 1992 ended his career carpenter. 2001 is his autobiographical novel published in crosswinds.

Zimmermann lives with his wife and daughter in the canton of Aargau and works as a computer scientist.
