Serge Demierre

Serge Demierre (born 16 January 1956 in Geneva ) is a Swiss former racing cyclist.

Twice was Serge Demierre Swiss national road champion in 1976 as an amateur and as a professional in 1983. In 1981, he won jointly with Daniel Gisiger the Trofeo Baracchi and multiple stages, including at the Tour de Suisse, the Tour of Germany and the Tour of Catalonia. In 1976 he participated in the Olympic Games in Montreal part in the road race, but had to retire.

At the Tour de France Demierre won in 1983 as the only Swiss person the award for " most aggressive rider ".

Serge Demierre leads today in Vernier a shop for bike parts.
