Erik Dekker

Erik Dekker ( born August 21, 1970 in Hoogeveen, Netherlands ) is a former Dutch cyclist and subsequent cycling official.

Career

Dekker began his professional career in 1992 in cycling team Buckler, which was from 1993 to 1994 WordPerfect, Novell in 1995 and since 1996 Rabobank. After a bad fall ( multiple injuries, including severe facial injuries and loss of several teeth) during the third stage of the Tour de France 2006 Erik Dekker ended his cycling career and joined us in 2007 in the role of sporting director at Rabobank.

His most successful year was 2000, in which he managed to win three stages in the Tour de France. But even with the classics he recorded several victories.
