Albertus Geldermans

Albertus ' From ' funds Mans ( born March 17, 1935 in Beverwijk ) is a former Dutch cyclist and sports director.

Even as an amateur was from funds Mans in 1957 third in the individual pursuit at the UCI Track World Championships in Rocourt and won the Ronde van Zuid -Holland. In the Dutch railway Championships he finished second in the pursuit.

1959 funds Mans was professional. Until 1966, he took seven times in the Tour de France in part - for several years as Edeldomestike of Jacques Anquetil - five times, he arrived in Paris. In 1962, he wore the yellow jersey for two days and was fifth in the overall standings. In 1960 he won the International Afri-Cola Tour of Germany and the first Dutch Liège -Bastogne -Liège. In 1962 he was Dutch road champion and individual time trials and finished in the Vuelta a España in tenth place.

After ending his playing career in 1966 funds Mans was sports director of the Dutch national team at the Tour de France in 1968, won his protege January Janssen.

Also opened in 1966 from funds Mans together with his wife in his hometown Beverwijk a sports shop, which is now run by his son.
