Lars Boom
Lars Anthonius Johannes Boom (born 30 December 1985 Vlijmen ) is a Dutch racing cyclist.
Career
The Cross- driver since 2002 is already under contract with Rabobank, which ran until the end of 2009. Boom was already seven times national champion in cross in his age category. In 2003, he even became Junior World Champion. A year later, he won the European title the U23 class. In 2006, he struck in the pros even Sven Nys in the race named after him GP Sven Nys. At the World Championships he was second in the U23 class Zdenek Stybar behind and secured the silver medal. In 2007 he was World Cross Country Champion in Belgian Hooglede - Gits in class U- 23rd
On 27 January 2008 he became world champion in cyclo-cross in the men Zdenek Stybar and Sven Nys ago in Treviso, Italy.
On the road he drives for the Rabobank Continental team. In 2006, he was the Volta ao Distrito de Santarém win, a Portuguese stage race. The highpoint of his career is winning the title at the U23 time trial in the cycling world championships in Stuttgart on 26 September 2007.
