Hans Dekkers (cyclist born 1928)

Hans Dekkers ( born June 16, 1928 in Eindhoven, † 31 August 1984) was a Dutch road bicycle racer.

After he won the 1949 Tour Omloop the Kempen, he was in the 1950 road championships of the Amateur behind Wim Dielissen second.

In 1951 he became a professional and won the road race at the Dutch Championships in the sprint before Wim van Est and Wout Wagtmans and first took part in the Tour de France.

1952 Dekkers was again national champion. In the Tour de France this year, he won the 19th stage from Pau to Bordeaux and reached number 60 in the overall standings.

1955 ended Dekkers his sports career and enlisted in the Dutch army.
