Artyom Ternavsky

Artyom Vitalyevich Ternawski (Russian Артём Витальевич Тернавский; born June 2, 1983 in Magnitogorsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Hannover Scorpions in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Artyom Ternawski began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the HK CSKA Moscow. From there he moved to the 2000/01 season to the Sherbrooke Castors de from the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. Then the defender in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 was selected in the fifth round as the 160th overall player of the Washington Capitals, for which, however, he never played. Instead, he returned to his native Russia and spent the 2001/02 season in the first team of Mostowik Kurgan, for which he Wysschaja in the league, the second Russian league, ran aground. In the following two years, the U18 Junior World Champion was able to prevail in the 2001 in the Super League and played in this for the HK Sibir Novosibirsk, HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Salavat Yulaev Ufa

The 2004/05 season began Ternawski Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Wysschaja League and finished it in its league rivals motor Barnaul. In the following season he stood for Kasachmys Karaganda parallel in the Wysschaja League, as well as the Kazakh Hockey Championship on the ice. However, the 2006/07 season spent almost exclusively in the Russian Tyumen Gasowik in Wysschaja league, they finished in Kazakhstan at Kaszink - Torpedo Ust -Kamenogorsk. For the Kazakhs he scored three goals in 14 games and made two more templates. Then the links Sagittarius returned to Russia and was awarded for the 2007 /08 season a contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk from the Super League. For Novokuznetsk, he scored six goals in 56 games and was preparing to seven.

For the 2008/ 09 season Ternawski was obliged by HK CSKA Moscow of the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League, in the youth department, he had begun his career. For CSKA, he scored a total of 61 games in four goals and three assists. For the following season, he returned to Metallurg Novokuznetsk. He left his former club after only 14 games and moved within the KHL for Belarusian HK Dinamo Minsk. He was also unable to prevail over the long term and completed between December 2009 and January 2010, only two KHL games for Dinamo. In the later course of the season the former youth international joined Vityaz Chekhov. For Vityaz he graduated to 2011 52 KHL games before he was obliged by HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in June 2011. There, however, he could not prevail and played only one game before he moved in October 2011 within the KHL to Atlant Mytischtschi.

In November 2012 Ternawski was committed by the Hannover Scorpions.

Internationally

For Russia Ternawski took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2001, in which he became world champion with his team. For this success he contributed an assist in six games.
