The HK Ogre (until 2009 ASK / Ogre ) is an ice hockey club established in 2003 in the town of Ogre, Latvia, playing in the Latvian Hockey League. The home games for teams will be played in the Vidzeme Ledus hall, which offers 1,880 spectators.
History
The Army Sports Club was founded in 2003 as ASK / Ogre and henceforth took part in the Latvian Hockey League. In addition, the club was in the 2003 /04 East European Hockey League, finishing in ninth place.
In the season 2008/ 09 the Club also took part in the open Belarusian Championship, finishing in 12th place. In the summer of 2009, the Latvian armed forces ended their sponsorship of the club and this was close to bankruptcy. Since then he is called HK Ogre.

The team was in the seasons 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 runner-up of the Latvian league.
